Newsfeed that prioritises recency and content of users you follow

I don’t want to mention the F word, but it’s basically that: a Facebook-style newsfeed.

I enjoy following other creators and seeing their newest creation. I also believe that this is a journey where we are all exploring and getting better bit by bit. Unfortunately it is very difficult to keep track of what other creators are doing unless you go and check their profile. It is true that the images and post tabs have a filter option for “Followed”, however the results are heavily tailored towards popularity and therefore drowning out many of the creators I follow that are not superstars yet.

What I propose is therefore a newsfeed that:

• only shows posts from “Followed”

• favours recency and popularity

• displays posts per post

  • Showing the username, avatar, timestamp and description of the posts at the top

  • Showing the images in a carousel at the center of the post

  • Showing comments and generation data, both as collapsibles at the bottom of the post, alongside the reactions.

This will give more prominence to the post descriptions and will shift more eyeballs to those I enjoy following. CivitAi will become a more social platform from the back of this change.
