A space for non-AI publications (different website/domain with same backend?)

Hi there!

You guys made a wonderful place to share AI creations. Once I’ll sort some things out, I’ll try to be an active community member and post some of my work.

Context: my not so great experience on NexusMods so far

But I’m also a user of NexusMods, publishing my (still amateur) virtual photography there (https://next.nexusmods.com/profile/CodeScu1ptor/media?gameId=3333). I enjoy the community built around the virtual photography - they are lovely people.

More advanced and serious creators make such beautiful work in area of virtual photography - and this is only Cyberpunk 2077 scene that I follow, I guess that Witcher 3, Fallout, Elder Scrolls have their own gems and diamonds:

I'm upset with many things on NexusMods (very upset recently) and jealous of how CivitAI works: content is categorized in PG / PG-13 / ... / XXX, how it is automatically tagged in detail. This is a wonderful place to share various creations in a very friendly atmosphere. I see that people on NexusMods are getting more and more upset with how things are there with adult content guidelines (that effectively are PG-13 while many great authors tend to get into R area to post something artistic and sexy and they get their content removed or they are banned - and an insult to the injury is the fact that NexusMods manages to check only fraction of content, so people are upset getting punished while they see bolder photos getting by intact.

But CivitAI is not for all creations - it’s only for AI now.

To the point: The Idea

Considering solutions CivitAI has around media publications, I think that expanding it and introducing its clone, a new website working on the same infrastructure (just having a new domain, maybe slightly different design to be distinguished from CivitAI), could be potentially a blast that would successfully compete with existing pages where virtual media (art, virtual photography, in-game photography) is published.

I know it's a big deal. But it it is also not huge since such new page could be only another facade and domain using very same servers/cloud solutions and software in the backend, so it would be a low-risk experiment to expand CivitAI - maybe even into a family of pages:

  • CivitCLIP: for gamers to post virtual photography, maybe videos,

  • CivitART: for artists,

  • CivitCRAFT: for 3d designers,

  • CivitLENS / CivitF / CivitFRAME: for traditional photographers (CivitF based on the use of F-stops in photography)

  • etc.
